The Cub Scout Badge System
There are two type of badges that can be earned :–
Challenge Awards
- Our Adventure
- Our Outdoors
- Our Skills
- Our World
- Teamwork
- Team Leader
- Personal Challenge
These are achieved mainly through the weekly programmes but some elements need to be done at home – hence the "homework" sheets that the Cubs are often given. In many instances it is the fact that these have not been completed and returned that holds up the Cubs' progress.
Activity Badges
The requirements for the various Activity badges can be found on the Scout web site www.scouts.org.uk and most can be gained at any time, except those that have to be completed within the Scouting programme.
