This page provides essential information to help you understand how our group operates and how you can stay involved and support your child’s journey in Scouts.
OSM is the primary tool we use for managing various aspects of your child’s Scouting experience. This includes:
Recording your child’s badge achievements.
Booking event participation.
Handling payments for events and annual membership subscriptions.
When your child joins our group, you will receive a personal invitation link to access OSM. This link is unique to you and should not be shared. Once registered, you can log in directly at https://www.onlinescoutmanager.co.uk. We have guides available to help you with completing new joiner information and consents, as well as setting up online payments.
Scout groups are entirely staffed by adult volunteers. We greatly appreciate any help parents can offer at meetings and activities. If you are interested in helping, please speak to one of our volunteers. If you would like to commit more time and volunteer in a more official capacity, please see our volunteering page for more information about the roles that we have available.
The Group holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) within six months of the end of the financial year. All parents of Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts in the Group are members of the Group Scout Council and are eligible to vote at the AGM. The AGM is where the Trustees’ Annual Report and annual accounts are reviewed and approved, and Trustee Board members are appointed.
