Cub Scouts are all about adventure for young people aged 8 to 10½. This is where independence really starts to grow! Cubs are ready for bigger challenges, more responsibility, and chances to make a difference in the world. Each Cub Pack follows a fun, well-planned programme run by skilled volunteers who work closely with the young people. Together, they help every Cub enjoy new experiences, build confidence, and develop strong character.
Cubs spend lots of time exploring the outdoors, learning new skills, and making lasting friendships. As they take on challenges and try new things, they also learn how to stay safe and trust themselves to do their best.
The Cub Scout Law guides them with clear values: “Cub Scouts always do their best, think of others before themselves, and do a good turn every day.”
Cubs are encouraged to make and keep their Promise, showing their personal commitment to these values. Through hands-on learning, they grow by doing, reflect on what they’ve learned, and take real responsibility as they face new adventures. Every Cub discovers what makes them unique — their own skills, strengths, and passions!
The Cub programme includes a wide mix of badges and awards to suit all interests and abilities — from outdoor skills and world awareness to leadership and personal growth.
